Why is it we have to learn this stuff in a New Zealand newspaper, for Heaven's sake. My argument against US media is that they aren't doing their job as responsible journalists, in fact, they are very nearly criminal in because they hide or twist news American need in order to make educated decisions that may affect the rest of their lives or that they need to protect the health, safety and welfare of their family and loved ones. Think may be should have publicize that aspect (journalistic negligence) and ask board members to e-mail everyone in the world complaining about it?

By the way, I lived in Texas when Cheney's Halliburton bought that big corporation that was being sued by people for asbestos-related illness. Governor Bush, if I remember correctly and I think I am correct, passed legislation limiting the amount of money plaintiffs suing the company could be awarded. There may have been something else in this piece of legislation equally as damaging to plaintiffs, but I can't recall what it was. Anyhow, Cheney's supporters are claiming the liabilities of the big company Halliburton bought is the sole cause for Halliburton crashing, rather than Cheney's poor leadership and criminal stock crap.
